Nationalism and the Creation of Italy

Nationalism is the loyalty and devotion to your native nation. Examples of nationalism can be seen in waving the the American flag, bumper stickers, and singing the national anthem.
In my life some examples of how I show nationalism is saying the pledge of allegiance every morning in school. Saluting the flag and acknowledging the power given to me as a United States citizen.

In the middle of the 1800's three forces vied for power in Europe. The conservatives, liberals and radicals. The conservatives were of the upper class and liberals were mostly middle class. The middle class beleived in giving funds to exend the hand of already powerful elected leaders whereas radicals wanted drastic change and a more directly democratic pemise. The liberals beleived that power should be focused upon the educated and landowners.
